Having started out almost ten years ago collecting just cans, LAMH Recycle has diversified its activities into IT refurbishment. Today it provides a wealth of opportunities to the residents of Lanarkshire, through training and sales of computer equipmentLAMH Recycle Ltd is just one example of how local organisations can benefit their community in more ways than one. What was considered an economically deprived town, Motherwell, is recovering from high unemployment thanks to projects such as this one and the hope they can offer to individuals.
Operating as a registered Scottish charity, LAMH Recycle has provided training and employment opportunities within a secure work environment for people suffering mental ill health and other disadvantaged groups since 1999.
Fully licensed by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, LAMH Recycle is a professional waste management organisation that focusses on the collection, repair and reuse of IT and communications equipment. Its policy is to reuse as much of the equipment collected as possible, only recycling parts if the equipment is damaged or out of date. Nothing goes to landfill and any refurbished equipment is sold at a low cost or donated to local groups and charities.
